The Amarantos Ritual - Environment

"The Amarantos Ritual" is the UE5 environment I've been working in my spare time lately. I went into it with the idea of practicing the newly released Nanite and Lumen. I started it in UE5 Early Access and got it through to UE5.1, UE5.2 and UE5.3.

It was lots of fun to do, and in the middle of it, I reached out to my friend Hayley Rumbold who is a Cinematic Artist. I asked her if she would like to collaborate and help me tell a story inside the environment. We had a blast creating that. Hayley's influence can be seen in a lot of places, like the recolored and relit versions of the space. Thank you for working with me on this, Hayley!

I've designed the entire space, created all of the modular architecture pieces and all of the props seen here. I also experimented lightly with Niagara and FluidNinja in order to bring some visual interest and motion here and there. For texturing most of it is pieces I made in Substance Designer though in a few spaces, like the vines and roots, I did mix a few different Megascan textures in order to bring higher quality to the project.
