Vortex Basin VFX - Tutorial - UE5
Hey everyone. In my latest personal project that I've been making little over a year now, I made a vortex VFX in the middle of the room. I thought that is a good subject to turn into a tutorial. You can find it here:

I want to create some video tutorials at some point but this one is a written, step-by-step tutorial instead. I think there is a lot of value and a lot of learning to be made in following written guides. As such I hope its informative and useful to any of you out there.
Topics covered: creating the base static geometry necessary. We look at that in Blender. Then we move to making the necessary textures in Substance Designer. From there, we go into Unreal 5 to create the parent material shaders to be used in the VFX. A final, optional entry in the series looks at Blueprints and using Construction Scripts to improve the efficiency of our work.
